Ottawa University

Mabee Center

The Mabee Center was built in 1980. The multipurpose sports practice facility served physical education, recreation, and the OU athletic programs. It was renovated in 1999 with racquetball courts and two regulation-size basketball courts with goals.

The 2024 renovation was made possible by a grant from the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Okla., which totaled $4 million and made-up Phase II of the University’s “Advancing the Experience” capital campaign. The new addition to the Mabee Center includes an 8,750-square-foot Braves Athletic Performance Center with a state-of-the-art weight and fitness facility for all student-athletes.
