#RV Braves and Bluejays Meet in Ottawa on Saturday

The Braves are 16-9 overall, 5-0 in the KCAC, and receiving votes in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Top 25. Ottawa is on a six match winning streak.

OU has not dropped a set in its five conference  matches. In those five victories, Ottawa had 214 kills, a .255 attacking percentage, 191 assists, 29 service aces, 293 digs, and 34 teams blocks.

Ottawa enters Saturday's match coming off two non-conference victories on Friday over William Woods University (3-0) and Xavier University of Louisiana (3-0). In those two matches, OU had 84 kills, hit .225, had 78 assists, eight service aces, 119 digs, and 11 team blocks.

Through 25 matches, the Braves are averaging 12.2 kills per set, 11.3 assists per set, 2.04 blocks per set, 1.4 service aces per set, 18.07 digs per set. Ottawa has a .194 attacking percentage.

OU is ranked 26th in the NAIA in kills (1,102), 15th in total attacks (3,435), 32nd in assists (1,019), 16th in digs (1,626), 28th in digs per set (18.07), 26th in solo blocks (58), 29th in block assists (251), 22nd in total blocks (184), 39th in block assists (2.04), 42nd in block errors (36), and 40th in ball handling errors (26).

Radaisy Valdez leads OU in kills with 297. She is averaging 3.3 kills per set. Valdez and Elli Rogers led the team in blocks with 79. They are averaging 0.8 per set. Haylee O'Meara is OU's leader in assists (465) and she is averaging 5.3 per set. Jadore Hayes leads OU in service aces (30) and digs (427). She is averaging 4.8 digs per set.

Haylee O'Meara recorded her first career triple double in OU's 3-0 victory over William Woods University on Friday afternoon. She had 11 kills, 12 assists, and 11 digs. It is the program's fifth triple-double and the third season.

Saturday is the 95th meeting between Ottawa University and Tabor College. Ottawa leads the series, 48-46. Tabor won the meeting last season on Oct. 16, 2021 in Hillsboro, 3-2. The first meeting took place on Nov. 5, 1977. Ottawa won the match 2-0; 15-10, 15-3. OU has won nine straight matches against Tabor in Wilson Field House. The last time lost to Tabor at home was on Oct. 23, 2013, 3-2.

Tabor College is 3-18 overall and 1-4 in the KCAC. The Bluejays snapped their three match losing streak on Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over York College in Hillsboro. Tabor had 34 kills, a .069 attacking percentage, 33 assists, six service aces, 86 digs, and two blocks. Kalle Cathcart had a double-double. She finished the match with 13 kills and 10 digs. Emma Rhodes had a double-double, finishing with 31 assists and 15 digs.

Through 21 matches, Tabor is averaging 10.6 kills per set, 10.05 assists per set, 1.21 blocks per set, 1.32 service aces per set, and 17.1 digs per set. The Bluejays have a .120 attacking percentage.

Tabor is ranked 50th in the NAIA in errors (494) and fifth in ball handling errors (52).
