#RV Braves and #RV Coyotes Meet in WFH on Saturday

OU made quick work of Avila University on Wednesday night in Kansas City, Mo., winning the match 3-0; 25-10, 25-15, 25-6. That victory moves the Braves to an overall record of 12-9 and a KCAC mark of 3-0. The Braves finished the match with finished the set with 43 kills, a .426 attacking percentage, 39 assists, 12 service aces, 48 digs, and nine team blocks

Through 21 matches, the Braves are averaging 11.9 kills per set, 11.03 assists per set, 2.07 blocks per set, 1.5 service aces per set, 17.8 digs per set. OU has a .190 attacking percentage.

OU is led in kills (264) by Radaisy Valdez. She is averaging 12.5 kills per match and 3.4 kills per set. Valdez and Elli Rogers lead the team in blocks with 68 apiece. They are averaging 0.9 per set. Haylee O'Meara is OU's leader in assists (399) and is averaging 5.3 per set. Jadore Hayes leads the team in service aces with 26 and digs (375). She is averaging 4.9 digs per set.

For the third time this season, Kaitlyn Haller has been named KCAC Setter of the Week. In three matches last week, including two against nationally ranked teams and one versus no. 2 University of Jamestown, Haller had 56 assists, 49 digs, four blocks, and 24 kills. In OU's 6-2 offense, she averaged 18.6 assists per match and 5.09 assists per set. Haller earned her second career triple-double in OU's 3-2 victory over Hastings College. She had 11 kills, 30 assists, and 20 digs in the victory.

Ottawa is ranked 34th in the NAIA in kills (930), 25th in total attacks (2,920), 40th in assists (860), 21st in digs (1,392), 28th in digs per set (17.8), 26th in solo blocks (51), 26th in block assists (221), 18th in total blocks (162), 30th in total blocks (2.07), 48th in block errors (31), and 40th in ball handling errors (23).

Saturday is the 99th meeting between Kansas Wesleyan University and Ottawa University and KWU leads the series, 51-47. The Coyotes snapped the Braves three match winning streak against KWU on Sept. 13 in Wilson Field House in a non-conference match. Kansas Wesleyan won the contest 3-0; 25-19, 25-19, 26-24. The first match happened on Sept. 28, 1979 in Salina. KWU won the match 2-0; 15-12, 15-12. Ottawa lost the first 22 matches to Kansas Wesleyan. OU's first victory over the Coyotes was on Oct. 2, 1990 in Salina. Ottawa won the match 2-0; 15-12, 15-12.

In the loss to Kansas Wesleyan on Sept. 13, Ottawa finished the match with 36 kills, a .130 attacking percentage, 36 assists, five service aces, 48 digs, and six team blocks. Radaisy Valdez led OU with 11 kills. Haylee O'Meara finished with 21 assists and three service aces. Kaitlyn Haller had a double-double, tallying 14 assists and 10 digs. Jadore Hayes finished the match with 10 digs. Elli Rogers had three blocks.

Kansas Wesleyan University is 19-4 overall and 5-0 in the KCAC. The Coyotes are on a 12 match winning streak with their last loss coming on Sept. 3 against William Carey University, 3-2; 25-22, 28-26, 25-27, 24-26, 17-15.

Through 23 matches, KWU is averaging 13.4 kills per set, 12.5 assists per set, 2.09 blocks per set, 1.6 service aces per set, and 17.6 digs per set.

The Coyotes are ranked 15th in the NAIA in kills (1,050), ninth in kills per set (13.4), fourth in attacking percentage (.251), 15th in assists (977), 18th in assists per set (12.5), 24th in digs (1,380), 32nd in digs per set (17.6), 20th in solo blocks (54), 29th in block assists (218), 15th in total blocks (163), 29th in blocks per set (2.09), 34th in ball handling errors (25).

Morgan Bryand leads KWU in kills (239) and she is averaging 3.1 kills per set. Josie Deckinger is the Coyotes leader is assists (680) and is averaging 8.7 assists per set. Maddy Beckett is KWU's leader in service aces with 27. Kelcey Hund is the team's leader in digs (390) and is averaging 5.2 per set. Elizabeth Hardacre is the Coyotes leader in total blocks (96) and is averaging 1.2 per set.
