The Braves won their second straight game with a 70-60 win over Park University in Wilson Field House last Thursday. In the win, Ottawa shot 29.6 percent from the floor, 32.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 82.6 percent from the free throw line. OU had three players in double figures led by
Nicole Brown's double-double. She scored 16 points and pulled down 16 rebounds.
Ahoneste Walker scored 15 points and had three assists and
Maria Moore finished the game with 10 points. The Braves had a 19-15 lead in second chance points and a 20-13 edge in bench scoring. Park led 6-3 in fast break points, 8-7 in points off turnovers, and 34-24 in points in the paint.
Nicole Brown is averaging a double-double this season, leading the Braves in scoring (14.8) and rebounding (12.8). She has double-doubles this season against Barclay College (13/19), Midland University (18/13), and Park University (16/16).
Ahoneste Walker leads OU in assists, averaging 2.7 per game.
Jayla Johnson is OU"s leader in steals per game with 1.2.

The Braves are 6-1 against York in Wilson Field House and have won six straight home games against YU. Ottawa defeated York 75-39 in Wilson Field House on Dec. 13, 2021 and took a 72-53 victory over the Panthers on Feb. 5, 2022 at the Freeman Center.

Jordan Bianco and Haley Franklin finished with 11 points apiece, and Kennedy Bankett scored 10 points. Kanecia Payne finished the game with three assists. Brooke Spraggins and Franklin finished with two steals apiece.
York University is 2-2 to start the 2022-23 season and is on a two game winning streak. The Panthers defeated Northern New Mexico, 69-63, on Nov. 3 and College of Saint Mary, 64-47, on Nov. 8.
In the win over the College of Saint Mary, York shot 37 percent from the floor, 31 percent from behind the 3-pt line (9-for-29), and 60 percent from the free throw line. York had 24 turnovers. Kiara Pesina led York with 19 points. She was 9-for-10 from the free throw line. Megan Mares-Torres came off the bench finish the game with a double-double. She scored 15 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the floor and pulled down 14 rebounds. Eight of those 14 rebounds were offensive.
Through four games, York is averaging 62.8 points, 37.8 rebounds, and 11.5 assists per game. The Panthers are shooting 34.2 percent from the floor, 30 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 68.6 percent from the free throw line.
