The Braves fell 96-63 in an exhibition game to NCAA Division II Washburn University in Lee Arena on Saturday afternoon. Ottawa shot 37.9 percent from the floor, 29.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 77.8 percent from the free throw line. OU had three players in double figures, led by
Ty Bland's 13 points.
Ian Moore scored 11 points and
Elijah Mason finished with 10 points. Jaxon Pope and Mason led OU with four rebounds apiece.
Amil Fields had three steals.
Ottawa earned its first KCAC victory last Tuesday in an 87-85 overtime victory over McPherson College in Wilson Field House. It was the third overtime game between the two teams in the last nine meetings.
OU is 0-2 on the road this season. The Braves are shooting better from the floor, 48 percent, on the road this season compared to the 45.4 percent they are shooting in Wilson Field House. Ottawa, on the road, is averaging 81.5 points per game while allowing 85 points.

Monday is the 191st meeting between Ottawa University and Bethany College. Ottawa leads the series 96-94 and is 9-1 in the last 10 games against the Swedes. The first meeting took place on Feb. 15, 1907 in Lindsborg. The Swedes won the game 31-27.
Each team won on their home court last season. Bethany defeated OU 84-81 on Dec. 2 in Lindsborg. The Braves took a 79-72 victory over the Swedes in Wilson Field House on Jan. 27. Ottawa is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Hahn Gymnasium against Bethany.

Ian Moore led OU with 19 points, Joe Johnson III finished with 18 points, Andre Jackson scored 16 points, and
Tristen Hull finished with 14 point. Jackson and Hull finished the game with double-doubles. Jackson pulled down 11 rebounds and Hull had 10. Jackson Mallory led the Braves with three assists and four steals.
Bethany College is 5-3 overall and 1-2 in the KCAC. The Swedes are 2-0 in Hahn Gymnasium this season and enter Monday's game coming off a 64-49 loss to no. 7 Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Okla.
OKWU had a 41-28 lead over Bethany at the half last Tuesday night. Neither team scorched the nets in the second half as the Eagles outscored the Swedes 23-21 to take the 64-49 victory. Bethany shot 37.5 percent from the floor, 21.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 52.6 percent from the free throw line. Dylan Smith led Bethany with 11 points on 3-for-13 shooting from the floor.
Through eight games, Bethany is averaging 71.9 points, 30.9 rebounds, and 9.9 assists per game. The Swedes are shooting 42.8 percent from the floor, 34 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 69.9 percent from the free throw line.
