The Braves increased its winning streak to nine games after defeating Florida Memorial University 34-7 in game one and St. Thomas University, 19-7, in game two at the NAIA Invitational National Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The two victories move the Braves on to the Gold Bracket. OU will play the winner of the game between Keiser University and Warner University at 2pm (cst).
In the win over Florida Memorial, Ottawa finished the game with 266 yards of offense, 53 yards through the air and 213 yards on the ground. OU's defense held Florida Memorial to negative one yard rushing and 193 yards passing.
OU finished the game against St. Thomas with 70 yards rushing and 195 yards passing for a total of 265 yards of offense. The OU defense held St. Thomas to 195 yards of offense, five yards rushing and 190 yards through the air.
The Braves are outscoring opponents, 344 to 64 in its nine game winning streak (38.2-7.1). Ottawa is averaging 307.2 yards of offense per game to the opponents 202.7. The OU defense has 16 interceptions during that run and is holding opponents to a fourth down conversion percentage of .278 (10-for-36).
Madysen Carrera leads OU in rushing with 779 yards and 17 rushing touchdowns. She averages 51.9 rushing yards per game and 7.3 yards per carry. She has thrown for 3,132 yards and 48 touchdowns. Carrera has completed 72 percent of her passes and is averaging 208.8 yards passing per game.

Abby Brown is OU's leader on defense with 82 tackles. She has two sacks, six interceptions, and 17 pass break ups.

Hannah Serquina are second on the team 52 tackles apiece. Gillespie has 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one interception, and 10 pass break ups. Serquina leads OU with 17 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. She also has five pass break ups.
The Braves have a record of 1-1 against Keiser University. Ottawa defeated the Seahawks 7-6 in the NAIA National Championship Game a year ago. Ottawa is 1-0 against Warner University. The Braves and Royals met this season on March 15 with OU taking the 45-21 victory.
Keiser University is 12-3 overall this season. The Seahawks finished runner up in the Sun Athletic Conference Tournament to the overall no. 1 seed, Thomas University, 7-6, on a last second touchdown and extra point with no time on the clock.
Through 15 games, KU is averaging 23.6 points per game and holding opponents to a 8.3 point per game average. The Seahawks have rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns while throwing for 3,018 yards and 40 touchdowns. The KU defense is allowing 151 yards rushing and 1,967 yards passing. Keiser had three players named to the All-Sun Teams. Kennedy Foster was a First Team selection at receiver. She was named Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice. Jazmin Rhoden earned First Team All-Sun honors at quarterback. She threw for a school record 291 yards against Florida Memorial this past season. Maria Vega was named First Team All-Sun at linebacker. Three of her six interceptions have been returned for touchdowns.
Warner University is 8-8 in 2022 and finished day one of the NAIA Invitational National Tournament with a record of 1-1. The Royals defeated the University of Saint Mary 40-27 in game one but fell to Keiser University 32-19 in game two.
Cynthia Homs (WR) and Madison Tingen (QB) were named First Team All-Sun. Homs was also named Sun Conference Player of the Year. She was a three-time Sun Conference Player of the Week at receiver, catching 122 passes for 1,450 yards and 25 touchdowns. Homs also played defense, finishing with 123 tackles, seven interceptions, and one pick six.
