OTTAWA, Kan. –
Slobodan Novicevic scored a penalty kick in the 84
th minute, which made the difference for the Ottawa University men's soccer team in a 3-2 win over the Tabor Bluejays on Wednesday evening.
Novicevic's penalty kick goal was set up by
Francisco Arrua, when he was taken down in the box just moments after being substituted into the game. With the Braves tied 2-2, Novicevic stepped to the penalty sport and buried the ball into the bottom left corner for his seventh goal of the season which gave Ottawa a 3-2 lead with just six minutes remaining.
Bence Molnar continued his fiery start to the season, scoring both goals in the first half for Ottawa. The two goals for Molnar keeps him atop the KCAC leaderboards with 12 goals on the season, which has already matched his total from last season in just over half as many matches.
Novicevic assisted Molnar's opening goal in the 9
th minute that gave the Braves an early 1-0. Novicevic played a perfect curled through ball to a streaking Molnar, who then finished on the 1-1 with Tabor's keeper. Molnar's second goal was assisted by

The Bluejays kept things close, with an experienced team that made a deep run in last year's KCAC tournament on the way to a NAIA Nationals berth. Cooper Taylor and Sam Butler scored one goal apiece for the Bluejays.
