  • The Braves are coming off a succesful road trip in Iowa, defeating Dordt and Northwestern in a period of two days. The pair of wins against Northwestern and Dordt were Coach James Cottage's first two victories at Ottawa and pushed OU's record over .500 at 2-1-1. Meanwhile, the Owls are coming off a 1-1 draw to Oakland City University in their last matchup.

  • Bence Molnar leads OU with five goals scored so far this season, while also adding two assists. Slobodan Novicevic is second on the team with two goals, and leads the team with three assists.

  • The Owls's offiense is lead by Michael Bhat and Lubos Polacko, both whom have scored two goals this season. Midfielder Florian Senst is the Owls main playmaker, recording three assists so far in the first four games.

  • From Coach Cottage - On Team's First Win of 2022 "Very excited for the boys to get their first win. Northwestern are a very strong team with some great success in recent years. We pushed the intensity from the first minute and didn't let up until the final whistle, Scoring four goals on the road against a good team is tough. I was extremely impressed in our response when Northwestern tied the match on those two occasions. Incredible effort to gut out this victory from a group that is still far from their potential."

  • Up Next: The Braves host Park University on Saturday, Aug. 10th at 3:30 p.m.
