Ottawa has an overall record of 15-7 and is one match back of first place Kansas Wesleyan University and Bethel College in the KCAC standings with a record of 5-1. The Braves defeated Avila University 3-0 on Wednesday night in Wilson Field House.

Friday's match against no. 18 Bellevue University is the 12th ranked opponent that OU has played this season and Ottawa has a record of 7-4.

Friday is the 10th meeting between Ottawa University and Bellevue University. The Bruins lead the series 7-2 and are on a two match winning streak against the Braves. Ottawa's last victory over Bellevue came on Sept. 11, 2015 in Baldwin City, Kan. OU won the match 3-2 (20-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-27, 15-10). The first meeting between the two teams happened on Sept. 11, 1987. Ottawa won the contest 2-0 (15-4, 15-4). The Braves are 0-5 on the road in Bellevue against the Bruins.

Friday will be the sixth time that Ottawa and Grand View University have played against each other. The Vikings lead the series, 3-2. OU won match up last season, on Aug. 27 in Fayette, Mo., 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-11, 25-22). The first match between the two teams happened on Sept. 23, 2005 in Olathe, Kan. Ottawa won the contest 3-0 (30-24, 30-23, 30-26).

Bellevue University has an overall record of 16-6, a NSAA mark of 4-3, is ranked no. 18 in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Top 25 and is on a two match losing streak. The Bruins enter Friday coming off a 3-0 loss to Valley City State University on Oct. 6 and a 3-1 loss to Dakota State University on Oct. 10.

Through 22 matches, the Bruins are averaging 13.3 kills per set, 12.5 assists per set, 2.3 blocks per set, 1.4 service aces per set, and 16.8 digs per set. They have a .224 attacking percentage. Bellevue is ranked 28th in the NAIA in kills (1,039), 16th in kills per set (13.3), 40th in total attacks (2,941), 29th in attacking percentage (.224), 30th in assists (979), 15th in assists per set (12.5), 18th in service errors (200), 19th in block assists (275), 16th in total blocks (180), 14th in blocks per set (2.3), 30th in points (1,327.5), and 23rd in points per set (17).

Kealy Kiviniemi leads BU in kills with 226. She is averaging 2.9 kills per set. Mila Aiwohi leads the team in assist with 454 and is averaging 6.2 per set. Taylan Keefer is the Bruins' leader in digs with 389. She is averaging 4.9 per set. Haley Fleiswchman is BU's leader in blocks with 58. She is averaging 0.7 per set.

Grand View University has an overall record of 7-12 and a HAAC mark of 7-4. The Vikings are 0-5 in neutral matches and enter Friday coming off a 3-0 road victory over Clark on Oct. 10.

Through 19 matches, the Vikings are averaging 10.6 kills per set, 9.8 assists per set, 1.9 blocks per set, 1.2 service aces per set, 13.3 digs per set. Grand View has a .151 attacking percentage. The Vikings are ranked 41st in the NAIA in block assists (224).

Heleine Filipe leads the Vikings in kills with 227 and is averaging 3.1 kills per set. Jenna Bentz is GVU's leader in assists with 453. She is averaging 6.04 per set. Chevy Wagner-Chun is the team's leader in digs with 302 and she is averaging 4.1 digs per set. Kylie Hoben leads GVU in blocks with 80. She is averaging 1.07 blocks per set.
