(25) Women's Volleyball Travels to Saint Mary on Wednesday

The Braves fell 3-2 to Bethel College but rebounded to take a 3-2 victory over Sterling College last Saturday in Wilson Field House.

In the loss to Bethel, Ottawa finished the match with 62 kills, a .139 attacking percentage, 53 assists, four service aces, and eight team blocks.

In OU's victory over Sterling, the Braves had 67 kills, a .242 attacking percentage, 63 assists, seven service aces, 99 digs, and 10 team blocks in five sets.

Through 29 matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 12.6 kills per set, 11.5 assists per set, 2.3 blocks per set, 1.04 service aces per set, and 16.4 digs per set.

Ottawa is ranked 13th in the NAIA kills (1,409), 43rd in kills per set (12.6), 16th in total attacks (4,169), 45th in attacking percentage (.207), 18th in assists (1,285), 27th in receptions (2,098), 28th in digs (1,829), 13th in block assists (396), seventh in total blocks (255), 14th in blocks per set (2.3), 29th in ball handling errors (37), 15th in points (1779.0), and 50th in points per set (16.0).

Radaisy Valdez leads OU in kills with 437. She is averaging 4.08 kills per set. Valdez also leads OU in blocks with 123, averaging 1.1 blocks per set. Ryleigh Sander is Ottawa's leader in assists (666) and is averaging six assists per set. Jadore Hayes leads the Braves in digs with 516. She is averaging 4.6 digs per set.

Radaisy Valdez leads the NAIA in attacking percentage (.446). She is ranked fourth in kills (437), 10th in kills per set (4.08), 33rd in solo blocks (25), 12th in block assists (98), eighth in total blocks (123), 20th in blocks per set (1.15), fourth in points (524.0), and sixth in points per set (4.9).

Wednesday is the 60th meeting between Ottawa University and the University of Saint Mary. Ottawa leads the series, 45-14. USM won the last match between the two teams, defeating OU 3-2 in the KCAC Tournament Semifinals last season in Hutchinson. The Braves have won the last two matches in Leavenworth, defeating the Spires 3-0 on Sept. 27, 2022 (26-24, 25-17, 25-16). The first time the two teams met was on Oct. 23, 1986 in Wilson Field House. Ottawa won the match 2-0; 15-2, 15-1.

The University of Saint Mary is 18-9 overall and 6-5 in the KCAC. The Spires enter Wednesday's match coming off a 3-2 loss to McPherson last Saturday in Leavenworth. USM is 6-4 at home this season.

Through 26 matches this season, USM is averaging 11.9 kills per set, 11.1 assists per set, 1.7 blocks per set, 1.5 service aces per set, and 17.2 digs per set. The Spires have a .193 attacking percentage.

USM is ranked 48th in the NAIA in kills (1,262), 44th in total attacks (3,797), 48th in assists (1,185), 32nd in digs (1,816), 47th in digs per set (17.3), and 47th in block errors (41).

Rylee Kenitzer leads Saint Mary in kills with 281. She is averaging 2.8 kills per set. Courtney Standley is USM's leader in assists with 550, averaging 5.6 assists per set. Ava Bojanski is the team's leader in digs with 428. She is averaging 4.08 digs per set. Renata Dominguez is the Spires' leader in blocks with 62, averaging 0.7 blocks per set.
