Women's Soccer Uses Two Early Goals to Beat Tabor

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa women's soccer team got on a winning streak as they picked up a 2-1 victory over Tabor on Saturday afternoon at AdventHealth Field. The Braves scored early, finding the back of the net in the 4th minute courtesy of Rebecca Lilley, assisted by Liv Staberg. Peyton Hack added to the lead with a 14th minute goal, and Tabor would cut that lead in half with a 28th minute goal. A scoreless second half capped off the 2-1 game.
Ottawa was efficient with their shots, taking four on goal and scoring on two of them. Olivia Ekwall had 10 saves in goal for the Braves.
Ottawa (3-5-4, 3-1-3 KCAC) take the field again on Wednesday, October 11 as they travel to Kansas City for a game against Avila University. That game is scheduled to kick off at 12 PM.
