Jayden Hibbitt was selected the KCAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Jarvis Christian and TAMT. He averaged 30 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Hibbitt shot 68.6 percent (24-for-35) from the floor, 50 percent (5-for-10) from behind the 3-pt line, and 77.8 percent (7-for-9) from the free throw line. Hibbitt's 38 points in OU's 85-77 win over Texas A&M - Texarkana are tied for eighth in the OU record book in single game scoring. He was also named OU's Game One/adidas Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Sterling snapped OU's four game winning streak against the Warriors last season in the only game between the two teams last season. Sterling defeated the Braves 102-89 in Wilson Field House on Jan. 11. The first game between the two teams happened on Jan. 9, 1918 in Ottawa. The Braves won the game 64-19.
Sterling College is 4-1 to open the 2023-24 season. After opening the season with an 82-75 road loss to Hastings College on Oct. 28, the Warriors have won four straight games.
