The Braves finished their Texas trip with a record of 1-1. Ottawa lost 94-89 to Jarvis Christian University on Nov. 9 but rebounded to take an 85-77 victory over Texas A&M - Texarkana on Nov. 11.

Jayden Hibbitt leads OU in scoring, averaging 24.2 points per game. He is shooting 63.2 percent from the floor, and 54.2 percent from behind the 3-pt line. Angok Anyang is OU's leader in rebounding, averaging 7.2 rebounds per game. Deondre Buggage leads the Braves in assists (5.0) per game and Kamren Woods is OU's leader in steals per game (2.2).

Jayden Hibbitt was selected the KCAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Jarvis Christian and TAMT. He averaged 30 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Hibbitt shot 68.6 percent (24-for-35) from the floor, 50 percent (5-for-10) from behind the 3-pt line, and 77.8 percent (7-for-9) from the free throw line. Hibbitt's 38 points in OU's 85-77 win over Texas A&M - Texarkana are tied for eighth in the OU record book in single game scoring. He was also named OU's Game One/adidas Scholar Athlete of the Week.

The Braves are 2-0 in Wilson Field House this season, outscoring opponents 96-80. Ottawa is shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 32.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 81.8 percent from the free throw line. Opponents are shooting 41.8 percent from the floor, 31.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 79.1 percent from the free throw line.

This season, the Braves are averaging 90.2 points, 41.6 rebounds, and 17.6 assists per game. Ottawa is shooting 48.5 percent from the floor, 35.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 73.1 percent from the free throw line.

Ottawa is ranked 31st in the NAIA in points (451), 24th in points per game (90.2), 27th in field goals made per game (32.6), 37th in field goals attempted per game (67.2), 33rd in 3-pt field goals made per game (9.2), 41st in 3-pt field goals attempted per game (26), 33rd in defensive rebounds per game (30.2), 44th in total rebounds per game (41.6), 19th in assists per game (17.6), and 30th in personal fouls per game (14.8).

Wednesday is the 125th game between Ottawa University and Sterling College. Ottawa leads the series 70-54. Sterling snapped OU's four game winning streak against the Warriors last season in the only game between the two teams last season. Sterling defeated the Braves 102-89 in Wilson Field House on Jan. 11. The first game between the two teams happened on Jan. 9, 1918 in Ottawa. The Braves won the game 64-19.

Sterling College is 4-1 to open the 2023-24 season. After opening the season with an 82-75 road loss to Hastings College on Oct. 28, the Warriors have won four straight games.

Mooch Austin leads Sterling in scoring, averaging 16 points per game. He is shooting 47.8 percent from the floor and 26.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line (4-for-15).  Austin also leads the Warriors in assists, averaging 4.2 per game. Elias Ngoga is SC's leader in rebounding, averaging 5.2 boards per game. Brandon Doss leads the team in steals per game with 2.6.

Through five games this season, Sterling is averaging 80.8 points, 38.6 rebounds, and 14.4 assists per game. The Warriors are shooting 48.6 percent from the floor, 47.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 59.7 percent from the free throw line.

SC is ranked 50th in the NAIA in points (404), 44th in field goals made per game (31.6), 29th in 3-pt field goals made per game (9.6), third in 3-pt field goal percentage (.471), 46th in turnovers per game (11), 43rd in opponent scoring (67.4), and 48th in opponent field goal percentage (.396).
