(25) Women's Volleyball Finishes Regular Season with Road Trip to York

Ottawa fell 3-1 to the University of Saint Mary on Wednesday night in Leavenworth. The Braves had 46 kills, a .155 attacking percentage, 44 assists, three service aces, 75 digs, and nine team blocks.

Through 30 matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 12.6 kills per set, 11.5 assists per set, 2.3 blocks per set, 1.03 service aces per set, and 16.5 digs per set. The Braves have a .205 attacking percentage.

For the fifth time this season, Radaisy Valdez has been named KCAC Attacker of the Week. In three matches last week, she had 59 kills, a .468 attacking percentage, three service aces, 16 digs, and 15 blocks in three matches last week. Valdez averaged 4.5 kills per set and 19.6 kills per match.

Ottawa is ranked 14th in the NAIA in kills (1,455), 45th in kills per set (12.6), 13th in total attacks (4,330), 47th in attacking percentage (.205), 18th in assists (1,329), 23rd in receptions (2,190), 28th in digs (1,904), ninth block assists (410), fifth in total blocks (264), 14th in blocks per set (2.3), 33rd in ball handling errors (37), and 15th in points (1837.0).

Radaisy Valdez leads the NAIA in attacking percentage (.447). She is fourth in kills (458), ninth in kills per set (4.1), 40th in solo blocks (25), 14th in block assists (100), eighth in total blocks (125), 25th in blocks per set (1.1), fourth in points (547), and fifth in points per set (4.9).

Saturday is the 12th match between Ottawa University and York University. The Braves lead the series, 11-0. OU is 4-0 against York at the Freeman Center. Ottawa won the match last season on Oct. 25 in Wilson Field House, 3-0; 25-16, 25-12, 25-11. The first meeting between the two teams happened on Aug. 30, 2014. Ottawa won the match 3-0; 25-15, 25-17, 27-25.

Radaisy Valdez leads OU in kills with 458. She is averaging 4.1 kills per set. Valdez is also leading OU in blocks with 125, averaging 1.1 blocks per set. Ryleigh Sander is Ottawa's leader in assists with 688. She is averaging 5.9 assists per set. Jadore Hayes leads the Braves in digs with 541, averaging 4.7 digs per set.

York University is 3-21 overall and 1-11 in the KCAC. The Panthers are on a two match losing streak with 3-0 losses to Tabor College on Oct. 25 and Kansas Wesleyan University on Nov. 1. YU is 2-5 at home this season.

Through 24 matches, York is averaging 9.6 kills per set, 9.1 assists per set, 1.3 blocks per set, 1.3 service aces per set, and 15.2 digs per set. They have a .089 attacking percentage. York is ranked 21st in the NAIA in ball handling errors (43).

Danielle Armendariz leads the Panthers in kills with 186. She is averaging 2.5 kills per set. Mariah Janda is YU's leader in assists with 578, averaging 7.1 assists per set. Cassie Richardson is the Panthers' leader in digs with 310. She is averaging 4.08 digs per set. Brook Halterman leads York in blocks with 30, averaging 0.6 blocks per set.
