Men's Soccer Cruises Toward KCAC Quarterfinal Victory Over Sterling

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's soccer team advanced in the KCAC Tournament after they beat Sterling by a score o 6-0 on Friday evening at AdventHealth Field. Bence Molnar opened up the scoring in the 34th minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Cale Scott scored in the 50th for the Braves, and an own goal put another in Ottawa's column. Scott and Molnar each scored their second of the night in the 72nd and 78th minutes, and Vladan Pavlovic capped off the scoring with a goal in the 84th minute.
Marko de Sa Faira and Nicolo Cinelli combined for a clean sheet, and the pair had two saves each.
Ottawa (14-3-1, 12-1-0 KCAC) continues their postseason on Wednesday, November 8 as they travel to the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kan. for the semifinals of the KCAC Tournament. That match will kick off at 2:30 PM, and will be against the winner of Tabor/Kansas Wesleyan.
