OTTAWA, Kan. - The #14 Ottawa women's wrestling team return to action on Friday, December 15th at the Eagle Duals in Kansas City, Missouri. The Eagle Duals will be held at Avila University.
OU fell in their last dual to Avila University, 30-19 on November 30th.
The Braves continue to move up in the Top 20 Poll as they move up to 14th. Six Braves are ranked individually in the NAIA. Anysley Fink is 16th in the 109lb weight class,
Aileen Lester is #12 in the 136lb weight class,
Abigail Sebesta is 16th in the 155lb weight division,
Randie Scoon is sixth in the 155lb,
Darby Weidl is third in the 170lb weight division.
Siara Arrington moves into the rankings and is 11th in the 191lb weight division.
Ottawa defeated Avila in the Eagle Duals in 2022, 31-13.
Macey Gross and
Mikinlee Smith won both of their matches on forfeits, Gross in the 123lb weight class and Smith in the 136lb weight division.
Livia Swift secured a win in the 143lb weight division on a fall and
Abigail Sebesta won her match in the 155lb weight division on a fall as well.
Darby Weidl wrestled one weight class up at 191lb and won on a technical fall.
