Braves Host Morningside in Wilson Field House on Thursday

The Braves fell 3-0 to nationally ranked Dordt University, 3-0; 25-21, 25-16, 25-22; last Saturday in De Witt Gymnasium. Ottawa finished the match with 30 kills, a .192 attacking percentage, 26 assists, two service aces, 34 digs, and two team blocks. Akeil Williams had 13 kills and finished the match with a .385 attacking percentage. Andrew Salinas led OU with 13 assists and Kayden Kirby finished with 11. Kevin Davidson tallied nine digs to lead the Braves.

Akeil Williams leads the Braves in kills (2.69), service aces (0.3), and blocks (1.0) per set. Andrew Salinas is OU's leader in assists per set (4.1) and Kevin Davidson leads the team in digs (2.4) per set.

Through eight matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 8.2 kills per set, 7.6 assists per set, 1.7 blocks per set, 1.2 service aces per set, and 9.3 digs per set. The Braves have a .126 attacking percentage.

Thursday's match is the 16th meeting between Ottawa University and Morningside University. The first ever meeting between the two teams happened on Jan. 15, 2016 in Wilson Field House. OU lost 3-2 to Morningside in the first match in program history.

Morningside University is 4-7 overall and 3-2 in the GPAC. The Mustangs are on a four match losing streak with losses to Park (3-0) and Georgetown (3-0) on Feb. 10, Dordt (3-0) on Feb. 16, and Jamestown (3-0) on Feb. 19.
