Ottawa has extended its winning streak to four games, taking a 35-12 victory over Midland University on Saturday evening at AdventHealth Field. OU finished the game with 375 yards of offense while Midland had 225. OU had 327 yards through the air and 48 on the ground. MU had 221 yards passing and four yards rushing.
In the win over Midland,
Madysen Carrera completed .702 percent (26-37) of her passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. She also had seven rushes for 48 yards.
Alyssa Linkous had seven receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Addison Orsborn had seven tackles and three sacks.

Madysen Carrera was named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts in OU's victory over Midland. She went 26-for-37 through the air for 288 yards and three touchdowns. She completed 70.2 percent of her passes and rushed for 48 yards.
Addison Orsborn earned KCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for her play in OU's win over the Warriors. She had seven tackles and three sacks in OU's win against Midland University last Saturday night. On Midland's second offensive possession of the game, Orsborn sacked the MU quarterback, forcing a Warrior punt. Her second sack was on a fourth and four on the Warriors' third offensive possession of the game. She sacked the MU quarterback short of the zone to gain, giving the Brave offense back the ball on Midland's side of the field.
Ottawa had four Braves named to the 2023 U.S. Women's Flag National Team. They are
Jazlyn Camacho,
Alyssa Linkous, and
Addison Orsborn. OU head coach,
Liz Sowers, was named the team's assistant coach. The team will compete at the 2023Â International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Americas Continental Flag Football Championship from July 5-7 in Charlotte, N.C.
Through four games this season the Braves are averaging 322.8 yards per game, 47.5 rushing and 275.3 passing. OU's offense is scoring 35 points per game while allowing eight. The Brave defense is holding opponents to 210.8 yards per game, 22.3 rushing and 188.5 passing.
Ottawa is ranked first in the NAIA in scoring (140), first in points per game (35), first in total offense (1,291), second in yards per game (322.8), second in total passing yards (1,101), second in passing yards per game (275.3), first in passing yards per attempt (9.2), first in passing yards per completion (12.1), first in passing touchdowns (16), first in rushing yards (190), first in rushing attempts (29), second in rushing yards per game (47.5), second in yards per rush (6.6), second in rushing touchdowns (2), first in defensive INTs (8), third in tackles (80), and third in sacks (3).
Cottey College is 3-6 overall and 2-1 in the KCAC. The Comets enter Wednesday night's game coming off a 53-0 home loss to Kansas Wesleyan University last Saturday in Nevada. Cottey's three wins are the most in program history.
The Comets returns seven players from its 2022 team and has 10 newcomers, including nine freshmen.
CC opened the season with two wins, earning victories over Fort Scott Community College, 27-20, and Bethel College, 33-0. Cottey then suffered five losses: Thomas, 38-6 | Webber International, 41-0 | Warner 39-0 | Reinhardt, 6-0 | Campbellsville 31-0. The Comets earned their third win of the season on March 22 at home against the University of Saint Mary, 26-6.
