JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team's season ended with a 3-1; 25-22, 10-25, 14-25, 18-25; loss to no. 15 University of Jamestown in the GPAC Tournament Semifinals.
How it Happened
- In set one, Jamestown had the early 6-5 lead over the Braves. Ottawa took the lead on kills by Grant Younie and Michael Bak and a Jimmie setting error, 9-6. Jamestown rallied, tying the set at 11 all. A kill by Macort Pickup and a block by Akeil Williams and Francis Agosto gave OU a 13-11 lead. The teams exchanged points and OU had a 16-14 lead on a Bak kill. A block by Pickup and Williams and a Jimmie attacking error gave OU a 20-16 lead. The Braves finished the set with two straight kills by Bak, taking the 25-22 victory.
- The Braves got off to a slow start in set two, trailing Jamestown 4-1. The Jimmies increased their lead to 9-2 over OU. Ottawa was not able to rebound from its slow start and Jamestown took the 25-10 victory.
- Jamestown took the early 11-6 lead over the Braves in set three. The Jimmies pushed its lead to 18-9. Ottawa could not stage a comeback and Jamestown took the 25-14 victory.
- The Jimmies raced out to an 8-2 lead over the Braves in set no. 4. Ottawa chipped away at the Jimmie lead and after a block by Williams and a Jamestown attacking error, OU was within 10-8. Jamestown answered by extending its lead to seven points, 21-14. The Braves were unable to rally and Jamestown took the 25-18 victory.

- Michal Bak led OU with 13 kills. He had a .250 attacking percentage and four digs.
