Women's Flag Football Competes at the KCAC Tournament on Friday

Ottawa has won 21 straight games, dating back to 2022, with its 23-6 victory over Midland University on April 22 in Fremont, Neb. The Braves finished the game with 211 yards of offense, 39 rushing and 172 yards passing. Midland had -21 yards rushing and 196 yards passing for a total of 175 yards of offense.

Through 12 games this season, Ottawa is averaging 315.4 yards per game (64.8 rushing and 250.7 passing). The offense is scoring 41.2 points per game. OU's defense is allowing 163.8 yards of offense per game, 18.7 rushing and 145.1 passing. Opponents are scoring 5.3 points per game against the Braves. Ottawa has six shut outs this season.

The Braves are led in rushing by Madysen Carrera. She has rushed for 604 yards on 79 attempts and eight touchdowns. Carrera is averaging 50.3 rushing yards per game. She also leads the Braves in passing with 2,674 yards (224-314) and 50 touchdowns. Carrera is completing 71 percent of her passes and averaging 222.8 passing yards per game.

Alyssa Linkous leads the Braves in reception with 49. Jazlyn Camacho is OU's leader in receiving yards (649). Camacho leads Ottawa in receiving touchdowns with 16. Linkous is second on the team in receiving touchdowns with 11.

Ottawa University leads the series, 5-0, against Cottey College.  The Braves defeated the Comets 41-0 in Nevada on March 29 and 46-0 at AdventHealth Field in Ottawa on April 5. The first meeting between the two teams happened at the NAIA National Tournament in Atlanta, Ga., on May 6, 2021. Ottawa won the game, 67-0.

The Braves lead the series, 5-0 against the University of Saint Mary. Ottawa won both meetings this season, taking game one at AdventHealth Field in Ottawa, 68-0 on April 5 and defeated USM 58-0 in Leavenworth on April 19. The first meeting between the two teams happened on April 21, 2021 in Fremont, Neb. Ottawa won the game, 48-0.

Cottey College is 5-11 overall and set a program record of wins in a single season. The Comets have lost three straight games with two losses to Midland, 44-0 on April 16 and 26-0 on April 19, and Kansas Wesleyan 51-12 on April 22.

University of Saint Mary is 1-9 this season. The Spires earned their first win of the season on April 22 at Bethel, 22-0. USM enters Friday's tournament coming off a 57-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan in Salina on April 23.
