GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Ottawa University softball team ended the KCAC Tournament with a 5-1 loss to Friends University on Thursday afternoon at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
Ottawa struck first, taking the lead in the top of the third inning.
Macey Morris walked and then stole second.
Katie Enneking singled to left, scoring Morris to give the Braves a 1-0 lead. The Falcons answered with a run in the bottom of the third to tie the game, 1-1.
Friends then scored two in the bottom of the fourth and two in the bottom of the fifth to extend its lead to 5-1.
The Braves were not able to rally and Friends took the 5-1 victory.
