Ottawa, Kan. - The OU women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker against William Penn on Saturday evening at AdventHealth Field with a final score of 2-1.
 
William Penn started the scoring early with Lilly Cote netting the first goal of the match in the 10th minute. Ottawa tied the game up at one in the 78th minute, courtesy of a 
Rebecca Lilley penalty kick, but Taylor Witthauer scored a goal for William Penn with just 19 seconds remaining, sealing the game for the Statesmen.
 
The Braves (0-1-0) return to action on Saturday, September 2 where they will take on the #23 University of Science & Arts in Chickasha, Okla. That game is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM.
