Men's Soccer Falls Short Against Oklahoma City

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker against Oklahoma City on Saturday afternoon, the final score being 3-2.
Oklahoma City scored the first two goals of the match, the first being scored by Sage Trevino in the 11th minute, and the second scored by Jordan Da Costa in the 41st. Ottawa got on the board in the 50th minute from an own goal, and Slobodan Novicevic tied the game at two apiece with a 72nd minute goal. Bernardo Duarte scored the winning goal for the Stars in the 90th minute, giving Oklahoma City the 3-2 victory.
Ottawa outshot Oklahoma City 18-14, and Marko De Sa Faira had two saves in goal for Ottawa.
The Braves (0-2-1) return to action on Saturday, September 9, as they head down the road to Baldwin City, Kan. for a game against Baker University. That game is scheduled to kick off at 7 PM.
