Men's Soccer at Baker For Final Non-Conference Match of the Season

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's soccer team is traveling up north on Highway 59 for their final non-conference match of the season against Baker University. The Braves have been road warriors as of late, returning from an Oklahoma trip last weekend, where they drew Science and Arts and fell to Oklahoma City by scores of 1-1 and 3-2. In their match against Oklahoma City, the Braves found themselves down 2-0 at halftime, but knotted the score up at two apiece after an own goal and a Slobodan Novicevic goal, those coming in the 50th and 72nd minutes. Oklahoma City would go on to score the winning goal in the 90th minute, handing Ottawa the loss. Baker is currently undefeated, with four wins and two draws to their credit. The Wildcats have two ranked wins to their credit, 3-0 against #25 Northwestern Ohio and 1-0 against #22 Hastings. Baker also has a 3-1 win over McPherson, an upcoming conference opponent for Ottawa.
