The Braves moved their win streak to four games with an 89-77 win over the University of Saint Mary on Wednesday night at the Ryan Sports Center. Ottawa shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 45.5 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 70.8 percent from the free throw line.

OU is led in scoring by Jayden Hibbitt. He is averaging 21.4 points per game and shooting 53.1 percent from the floor. Angok Anyang leads the team in rebounding, averaging 10.2 rebounds per game. Deondre Buggage is OU's leader in assists (4.6) and Kamren Woods leads the Braves in steals (1.7) per game.

Ottawa is averaging 83.3 points, 41.7 rebounds, and 14.6 assists per game. The Braves are shooting 45.5 percent from the floor, 36.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 73.7 from the free throw line.

Ottawa is ranked 47th in the NAIA in points per game (83.3), 39th in field goal attempts per game (66), 34th in 3-pt field goals made per game (9.1), 50th in 3-pt field goal percentage (.363), 50th in free throw percentage (.737), eighth in defensive rebounds per game (31.3), 23rd in total rebounds per game (41.7), and 15th in personal fouls per game (14.1).

Saturday is the 139th meeting between Ottawa University and Southwestern College. The Moundbuilders lead the series 82-56. Each team won on its home floor last season. Then ranked no. 11 in the NAIA, Southwestern defeated the Braves 84-81 in Stewart Field House on Nov. 19. Ottawa defeated, then no. 4, Southwestern 74-72 on Jan. 21, 2023 in Wilson Field House.  The first meeting between the two teams happened on Feb. 9, 1907 in Ottawa. The Braves won the game, 60-14.

Southwestern College has an overall record of 12-2, a KCAC mark of 6-2, are ranked no. 6 in the NAIA, have a record of 4-1 on the road this season, and enter Saturday's game coming off a 97-60 victory over Bethany College on Wednesday. Prior to that win, the Moundbuilders had lost two straight with losses to Kansas Wesleyan (96-92) on Jan. 3 and McPherson (86-83) on Jan. 6.
