Women's Basketball is at Avila on Wednesday

Ottawa won its 15th straight over York University on Saturday afternoon, taking a 99-69 win over the Panthers in Wilson Field House. OU shot 56.7 percent from the floor, 57.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 70 percent from the free throw line. The Braves had six players in double figures. Kennedy Bankett led OU in scoring with 20 points on 7-for-9 from the floor.

This season, the Braves are averaging 75.6 points, 37.2 rebounds, and 13.2 assists per game. OU is shooting 41.1 percent from the floor, 36.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 72.5 percent from the free throw line.

Ottawa is ranked 38th in the NAIA in points (1,361), 42nd in points per game (75.6), 32nd in field goals attempted per game (66.2), 13th in 3-pt field goals made per game (9.1), 39th in 3-pt field goals attempted per game (25), 10th in 3-pt field goal percentage (.364), 40th in steals per game (11.3), and 32nd in blocks per game (3.7).

OU is led in scoring by Kennedy Bankett, averaging 13.8 points per game. She is shooting 55.8 percent from the floor and 45.2 percent from behind the 3-pt line. Bankett also leads OU in rebounds (4.7) per game. Jayla Johnson is the team's leader in assists (1.7) per game. Bankett and Katelyn Alatini are tied for the team lead in steals. Both players are averaging 1.5 per game.

The Braves have a record of 3-4 on the road this season and have lost their last three road contests. OU's last win on the road was December 12, 2023 at Missouri Baptist, 70-61. Away from Wilson Field House, Ottawa is averaging 65.9 points per game and shooting 40 percent from the floor and 38.6 percent from behind the 3-pt line. Avila University has an overall record of 6-12, a KCAC mark of 5-7, is 4-4 at home this season, and enters Wednesday night's game coming off a 69-47 loss at Bethany last Saturday.

The Eagles are averaging 61.6 points, 33.4 rebounds, and 11.6 assists per game this season. AU is shooting 40.2 percent from the floor, 31.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 71.1 percent from the free throw line.

Hannah Pinkston leads the Eagles in scoring, averaging 10.9 points per game. She is shooting 39.4 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from behind the 3-pt line. In Avila's six victories, the Eagles are scoring 71.7 points per game. In their 12 losses, AU is averaging 56.6 points per game.
