(RV) Women's Volleyball Hosts Southwestern in WFH on Wednesday

The Braves finished their road trip to Columbia, Mo. on Monday with a record of 1-1. Ottawa defeated (25) Columbia 3-1 but fell 3-0 to (18) Central Methodist.

Ottawa finished the match against Columbia College with 50 kills, a .170 attacking percentage, 46 assists, six service aces, 68 digs, and 16 team blocks.

The Braves had 29 kills, a .091 attacking percentage, 28 assists, six service aces, 42 digs, and one team block in the contest against Central Methodist.

Through 14 matches, the Braves are averaging 12.5 kills per set, 11.8 assists per set, 2.08 blocks per set, 0.9 service aces per set, and 18.6 digs per set. OU has a .192 attacking percentage.

Radaisy Valdez is OU's leader in kills per set (3.1), Madison Brauner leads the team in assists per set (6.2), Kenzie Kuxhaus is the Braves' leader in digs per set (5.9), and Valdez and Campbell Stark are OU's leaders in blocks per set (1.02).

Kenzie Kuxhaus is ranked 15th in the NAIA in digs with 365. She is also ranked ninth in the NAIA in digs per set, with 5.98 digs per set. Radaisy Valdez is ranked 12th in the NAIA in solo blocks (19), and 44th in total blocks (1.02).

OU is ranked 49th in the NAIA in assists per set (11.8), 40th in total digs (1,123), 15th in digs per set (18.4), 11th in solo blocks (49), 43rd in block assists (186), 22nd in total blocks (142), and 17th in blocks per set (2.3).

Wednesday is the 96th match between Ottawa University and Southwestern College. OU leads the series 67-28 and have won 31 straight matches against the Moundbuilders. Ottawa has not lost to SWC since Oct. 7, 2008 in Winfield, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-20). The Braves have not dropped a set to the Moundbuilders in nine straight matches, 27 straight set wins. OU has won 19 straight matches against SWC in Wilson Field House. The last time Ottawa fell at home to the Moundbuilders was on Oct. 3, 2002. SWC is ranked 16th in the NAIA in service aces per set (2.3).
