OTTAWA, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's volleyball team swept Tabor College; 26-24, 25-7, 25-14; on Saturday afternoon in Wilson Field House.
How it Happened
- With Tabor leading 14-11 in set one, Ottawa scored five straight points to take a 16-14 lead on a Campbell Stark kill. A block by Brittan Lee and Hollie Peters and a kill by Peters gave the Braves a 21-17 lead. Tabor did not go away and rallied to take a 23-22 lead over OU. A service error by the Bluejays tied the set at 24-24. An OU service error gave Tabor a 24-23 lead. Ottawa responded by scoring the set's final three points to take the 26-24 victory. A Tabor attacking error tied the set at 24, and two straight Ariana Arciniega kills gave OU the victory.
- The Braves scored the first nine points of set no. 2 and never looked back, taking the 25-7 victory.
- OU jumped out to a 10-5 lead over Tabor in set three. A kill by Bailee Nickel gave OU an 11-7 lead over the Bluejays. Tabor never threatened the OU lead and the Braves took the 25-14 victory.
