The Braves finished last week with a record of 1-2. Ottawa fell twice at the Marvel Classic in Bellevue, Neb. last Friday. (7) Bellevue defeated OU 3-1 and (RV) Carroll took a 3-2 victory over the Braves. Ottawa rebounded to defeat Tabor College last Saturday in Wilson Field House, 3-0.

Tuesday is the 47th match between Ottawa University and Avila University. The Braves lead the series 27-19 and are on a 16 match winning streak against the Eagles. OU has won four straight road matches against Avila. The last time Ottawa lost to Avila in Mabee Field House was on Oct. 19, 1997. The first ever match between the Braves and Eagles was on Oct. 4, 1975 in Wilson Field House. Ottawa won the match 2-0 (15-8, 15-8).
Avila University is 7-17 overall and 0-5 in the KCAC. The Eagles enter Tuesday's match coming off a 3-0 loss to Kansas Wesleyan University on Oct. 11 in Salina. Prior to that, AU had defeated Southwestern in Winfield, 3-2.
