Women's Soccer Draws Against Southwestern

Box Score Winfield, KAN. - The Ottawa women's soccer team picked up another point as they tied Southwestern by a score of 1-1 on Wednesday evening.

The first goal of the game came right after the start of the second half, when Millie Hazzard scored in the 47th minute for Southwestern. In the final minutes of the game, Makayla Remanente-Bailey scored an 88th minute equalizer for the Braves.

Southwestern led Ottawa 11 to ten in shots, both teams took five shots on goal each. Te'a Newcomb made four saves in goal for Ottawa.

Ottawa (0-7-2, 0-3-2 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, October 5 as they host Bethany College at AdventHealth Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
