Men's Soccer to Host Bethany

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's soccer team is hoping to bounce back as they host Bethany.
  • The Braves are coming off a 2-3 road loss to Southwestern on Wednesday evening. Cale Scott scored both goals for Ottawa. 
  • Cale Scott is Ottawa's leading goalscorer with five goals. Alonso Basauri and Jevan Purcell-Jackson have three goals each. Matt Myers is the joint-assists leader with Scott with two assists.
  • Bethany is looking for their first win, they currently hold a 0-8-0 overall record and a 0-4-0 KCAC record.
  • In conference play, the Swedes have taken on Sterling, Southwestern, Bethel, and Evangel, losing all four. 
  • Ottawa and Bethany have met 43 times, with the the series deadlocked at 20-20-3.
  • Ottawa won the meeting between the two teams last season by a score of 3-0 on the road.
  • The Braves have never lost to Bethany under James Cottage, and have not lost to the Swedes in regulation since 2014.
