OTTAWA, Kan. – The #12 Ottawa University women's wrestling team will be facing two teams at the Baker Tri-Dual on Friday in Baldwin City. Ottawa will face off against Avila at 5 PM and #15 Baker at 7 PM.
The Braves earned first place as a team at the Falcon Invite on November 1
st. Ottawa finished first out of 20 teams with 181.5 points.
Aynsley Fink placed fourth overall in the 110lb weight division, Fink won three matches on the day. In the 117lb weight division,
Kendall Martin secured second place by winning three straight matches before falling in the championship match.
Peyton Hand won the 124lb weight division by winning all four of her matches.
Emma Truex went 4-1 in the 124lb weight class to place third.
Livia Swift went 5-2 in the 138lb weight class to come in fourth place.
Kaydence Bonewell secured five wins in the 145lb weight division to place third. In the 180lb weight division,
Kaylee Davis won three matches by fall to finish second overall.
Hannah Jackson won the 207lb weight division by going 4-0 on all decisions.

th in the NAIA, up from 15
th in the Preseason Poll.

In 2023, Ottawa fell to Avila 30-19 but defeated the Baker Wildcats 36-22. In the Baker dual,
Erin Wetterstrom won by forfeit in the 101lb weight division.
Daityn Webb also won by forfeit in the 109lb weight class.
Emma Truex defeated her opponent by fall in the 123lb weight division. In the 130lb weight division,
Peyton Hand won by fall over Zoe Shariq.
Kaydence Bonewell won by forfeit in the 143lb weight division.
