Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's soccer team finished their season with a win as they beat Sterling by a score of 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at AdventHealth Field.
Sterling struck first, scoring in the fifth minute.
Ashby Owen tied the game up in the 23rd minute with a goal assisted
Makayla Remanente-Bailey. Remanente-Bailey scored a goal of her own for the lead in the 45th minute, assisted by Daniella Parra. Remanente-Bailey went on to score another goal in the 84th minute, this time unassisted.
Ottawa led shots 18 to six, and shots on goal twelve to three.
Te'a Newcomb made two saves in goal for the Braves.
Ottawa finishes their season with a 4-9-5 overall record an a 4-5-5 KCAC record. The Braves were unbeaten in their last four matches, with two wins in that time.
