The Braves are tied for fourth with Evangel University in the KCAC with a mark of 8-3. OU has the tie breaker against the Valor with its 3-2 victory over Evangel on Oct. 30. The top four teams in the KCAC host the KCAC Tournament Quarterfinals with the top eight teams qualifying for the tournament.
Wednesday is the 61st match between Ottawa University and the University of Saint Mary. OU leads the series 45-15 but have lost two straight to the Spires. USM defeated the Braves 3-1 (13-25, 15-25, 25-23, 23-25). The first match ever, between the two teams happened on Oct. 23, 1986 in Wilson Field House. OU won the match 2-0 (15-2, 15-1).
The University of Saint Mary has an overall record of 16-11 and a KCAC mark of 6-4. The Spires have lost three straight matches and are 6-4 on the road this season.
