OTTAWA, Kan. - The #20 Ottawa women's wrestling team will travel to Leavenworth, Kansas to dual the University of Saint Mary Spires.
The Braves battled at the Grand View Open on February 3rd.
Aynsley Fink and
Addison Saporito each got one win in their respective weight divisions, Fink won by fall and Saporito won by technical fall.
Peyton Hand won two matches by falls in the 130lb weight division.
Alyssa Rutherford won one match in the 130lb as well.
Randie Scoon earned one win in the 143lb weight class, Scoon won on a 7-5 decision.
GiGi Jones picked up two wins by a fall and a decision in the 143lb. Also in the 143lb weight division,
Livia Swift won two matches on the day.
Ingrid Beltran-Gonzaga pinned two opponents in the 155lb weight division at the Open.
Siara Arrington placed sixth overall in the 170lb weight division, Arrington secured three wins on falls.
Hannah Jackson continues her impressive season with a second place finish in the 235lb weight class, Jackson won two matches on a technical fall and 1-0 decision.
Ottawa moves to #20 in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll.
Aynsley Fink is 20th in the 109lb weight division.
Addison Saporito is ranked #19 in the 116lb weight class.
Aileen Lester ranks #17 in the 136lb.
Randie Scoon comes in 15th in the 143lb weight division.
Abigail Sebesta is also 15th in the 155lb.
Siara Arrington moves to 13th in the 170lb weight division.
Ottawa is 4-2 against USM in program history. Ottawa defeated USM at the KCAC Duals, 40-8 earlier this season.
