LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's basketball team fell 74-46 to Bethany College on Saturday evening in Hahn Gymnasium.
Ottawa trailed for most of the first quarter before a 3-pt field goal by
Katelyn Alatini tied the game, 7-7 with 2:49 on the clock. Bethany went on a 7-0 run to end the first and led 14-7 at the start of the second.
Bethany pushed its lead to double digits, 17-7 in the opening minutes of the second quarter. Baskets by
Kennedy Bankett and Alatini cut the deficit to five points, 17-12, with 7:47 left in the half. Bethany answered with a 16-4 run and took a 33-16 lead into the locker room.
In the second half, Bethany built upon its lead. OU was not able to rally, and the Swedes took the 74-46 victory.
