Men's Basketball Hosts Saint Mary in Regular Season Final on Saturday

Ottawa broke its two game losing streak with a come from behind win over Evangel, 70-69, on Wednesday night in Wilson Field House. OU shot 40.7 percent from the floor, 32 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 70 percent from the free throw line. Angok Anyang recorded his ninth double-double, leading OU in scoring with 22 points and rebounding with 12. He also had four blocks.

With the 70-69 win over Evangel on Wednesday, night the Braves have clinched their spot in the KCAC Tournament. OU is tied for sixth in the KCAC after McPherson lost to Southwestern on Wednesday night and have a record of 11-10. The top eight in the conference qualify for the KCAC Tournament.

This season, Ottawa is averaging 81.2 points, 39.6 rebounds, and 13.5 assists per game. They are shooting 44.7 percent from the floor, 36 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 77.8 percent from the free throw line.

The Braves had five players in double figures. Jayden Hibbitt and Deondre Buggage scored 24 points apiece. Hibbitt led OU with eight rebounds and Buggage finished the game with five assists. Kamren Woods scored 15 points and Amil Fields and Angok Anyang finished the game with 11 points apiece. Anyang had five blocks.

The University of Saint Mary has an overall record of 16-11, a KCAC mark of 12-9, is on a five game winning streak, has a record of 6-6 on the road this season, and enters Saturday's game coming off a 73-55 win over Bethany College in Leavenworth on Wednesday.

Since Ottawa and USM played each other on Jan. 10, the Spires have a record of 10-2. The two losses were to Southwestern (92-66) on Jan. 17, Oklahoma Wesleyan (76-64) on Feb. 3.
