Canton, Mo.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team got their second consecutive win as they beat Culver-Stockton by a score of 21-4 in Canton on Tuesday afternoon.
Ottawa held the lead the entire game, starting with a 8-0 first period. Culver-Stockton made a small dent in the lead with a 3-2 second period to make the halftime score 10-3 in favor of Ottawa. The Braves kept their foot on the gas after halftime with 7-0 and 4-1 third and fourth periods.
Mackenzie Simmons lead Ottawa in scoring with twelve goals.
Ashley Santillan and
KaiAnna Senne scored four and three, respectively.
Isabella Pagliei and Felecia Dixon scored one each. Santillan and Pagliei had four assists each.
Curstin Brown had three, and Senne had two.
Shelby Bearden made seven saves.
Ottawa (2-4, 0-0 KCAC) returns to the field on Monday, March 18 as they host (9) Benedictine College for a rematch of the season opener. That game will be held at AdventHealth Field at 4 PM.
