MCPHERSON, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team snapped its six match losing streak, taking a 3-0 victory (25-7, 25-14, 25-11) over Central Christian College on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
- Ottawa raced out to an 11-3 lead over Central Christian in set one. Kills by Max Baumann and Kade Zrna increased the Brave lead to 15-4. Ottawa held the Tigers to three points for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-7 victory.
- Central Christian took an early 4-2 lead over the Braves in set two. Ottawa scored the next three points, taking a 5-4 lead on an Andrew Salinas kill. A block by Zrna and Kadeem Morris and a CCC attack error gave OU a 12-7 lead. The Braves held Central Christian in check for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-14 victory.
- In set three, a kill by Grant Younie gave the Braves an 8-3 lead. A Zrna service ace and a Tiger attack error increased the Brave lead to 19-6. Ottawa's lead was never threatened, and OU took the 25-11 victory.
