The Braves finished the GoSarpy.com Classic with a record of 1-2. Ottawa fell 3-1 to Dickinson State University in its first match of the season and 3-0 to (RV) Morningside University last Friday in Bellevue, Neb. OU rebounded to take a 3-0 victory over Dordt University last Saturday.

Ottawa finished the three matches last weekend with 137 kills, a .251 attacking percentage, 127 assists, seven service aces, 157 digs and 15 team blocks.

Through three matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 13.7 kills per set, 12.7 assists per set, 1.5 blocks per set, 0.7 service aces per set, and 15.7 digs per set. OU has a .251 attacking percentage.

Ottawa is ranked 18th in the NAIA in kills per set (13.7), 18th in attacking percentage (.251), 17th in assists per set (12.7), 49th in blocking errors (7), and 52nd in points per set (15.9).

Radaisy Valdez is OU's leader in kills with 38. She is averaging 3.8 kills per set. Madison Brauner leads the Braves in assists with 63, an average of 6.3 per set. Kenzie Kuxhaus leads OU in digs with 45 and is averaging 4.5 digs per set. Valdez and Campbell Stark lead the Braves in blocks with seven apiece. They are averaging 0.7 per set.

Thursday's match against Our Lady of the Lake University is the first meeting between the two teams. Ottawa's match against Rocky Mountain College is the third meeting between OU and RMC. The Battlin' Bears lead the series, 2-0. The last time the two teams met was on Aug. 31, 2019 at the GoSarpy.com Classic in Bellevue, Neb. Rocky Mountain won the match 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-19). Saturday's match between Ottawa and John Brown University is the 11th match between the two teams. JBU leads the series, 6-4. Ottawa won the last match up on Aug. 25, 2023 in Belleuve, Neb., 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-21).

Our Lady of the Lake University has a record of 3-5. The Saints are averaging 11.76 kills per set, 11.3 assists per set, 1.8 blocks per set, 1.4 service aces per set, and 16.7 digs per set.
