Women's Soccer Defeated By William Woods

Box Score Fulton, MO. - The Ottawa women's soccer team finished off their non-conference slate with a loss as they fell to William Woods on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, William Woods got a big scoring opportunity when they were awarded a penalty kick in the 53rd minute. However, Te'A Newcomb made the save. The Owls struck in the 67th minute with a goal by Maddy Schrader, the only goal of the match.

William Woods took 13 shots with six of them being on goal, while Ottawa took six with three being on goal. Te'A Newcomb made five saves for the Braves.

Ottawa (0-4-0, 0-0-0 KCAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, September 18 as they travel to Leavenworth, Kansas for their KCAC opener at the University of Saint Mary. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
