Mid-America Christian dominated the first half, scoring goals in the 21st, 25th, and 40th minutes to take a 3-0 halftime lead. Ottawa began a comeback in the second half, with a 57th minute goal assisted by
Matt Myers and
Slobodan Novicevic, and a 59th minute goal by
Jevan Purcell-Jackson assisted by
Matt Myers, but was not able to tie the game up.
