(11) Mid-America Christian Stifles Late Comeback by Men's Soccer

Box Score Oklahoma City, OKLA. - The Ottawa men's soccer team fell to Mid-America Christian by a score of 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma City.

Mid-America Christian dominated the first half, scoring goals in the 21st, 25th, and 40th minutes to take a 3-0 halftime lead. Ottawa began a comeback in the second half, with a 57th minute goal assisted by Matt Myers and Slobodan Novicevic, and a 59th minute goal by Jevan Purcell-Jackson assisted by Matt Myers, but was not able to tie the game up.

Cale Scott and Jevan Purcell-Jackson scored a goal apiece for the Braves. Matt Myers made two assists, Slobodan Novicevic scored one. Nicolo Cinelli made seven saves in goal.

Ottawa (1-3-0, 0-0-0 KCAC) returns to the field on Tuesday, September 10 as they host Baker University at AdventHealth Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
