OTTAWA, Kan. — The Ottawa University volleyball team earned a straight-set victory over Southwestern College (25–20, 25–17, 25–19) on Wednesday night inside Wilson Field House.
Set One | Ottawa 25, Southwestern 20
Ottawa opened the night trading points early before pulling ahead midway through the set. 
Kira Cherry and 
Bailee Nickel sparked the attack with timely kills, while 
Hollie Peters added momentum from the service line with an ace. Southwestern tied the frame at 15–15, but the Braves responded with a 10–5 closing run highlighted by kills from Peters and Cherry. Ottawa hit .188 in the opener with 13 kills on 32 swings, while Southwestern posted nine kills and five errors.
Set Two | Ottawa 25, Southwestern 17
The Braves dominated set two with one of their most efficient offensive stretches of the season, hitting .536 with 15 kills and no attack errors. Ottawa jumped out to an 8–3 lead behind 
Samantha Stahl's strong serving and continued to roll as Cherry and Nickel combined for six kills in the frame. 
Lillian Holden and 
Brittan Lee teamed up for a block to seal the set, giving Ottawa a commanding 2–0 match lead.
Set Three | Ottawa 25, Southwestern 19
Southwestern tried to extend the match, building an early 7–4 advantage, but Ottawa quickly regained control with an 8–2 run fueled by strong serving from 
Jezebel Hobbs and 
Madison Holcomb. Cherry and Stahl continued their dominance at the net, and Brauner's precise setting kept the Braves balanced offensively. Ottawa closed out the sweep on a Peters kill to finish off the 25–19 win.
