OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa women's soccer team finished their home schedule with a loss as they fell to Friends by a score of 1-4 on Wednesday evening at AdventHealth Field.
Friends first scored in the 25th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead at halftime. They doubled that lead with a 58th minute goal, but that was nullified in the 69th minute as 
Melissa Grohmann found the back of the net for Ottawa. Friends responded with two more goals in the 80th and 90th minutes to ensure the win.
Friends led total shots 18 to six and shots on goal eleven to five. Makena made six saves in goal for Ottawa.
Ottawa (4-7-5, 3-5-4 KCAC) returns to the field on Saturday, November 1 as they travel to Sterling, Kansas for their regular season finale at Sterling College. That game is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 PM.
