Women's Volleyball Wraps Up the Regular Season at Bethel on Saturday

The Braves are 10-12 overall and in sixth place in the KCAC with a mark of 7-5. Ottawa enters Saturday's match at Bethel coming off a 3-0 victory over the University of Saint Mary on Wednesday evening in Wilson Field House. 

Through 22 matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 11.64 kills per set, 10.68 assists per set, 2.10 blocks per set, 1.49 service aces per set, and 16.09 digs per set. The Braves have a .172 attacking percentage. 

Hollie Peters leads the Braves in kills per set (2.33), Madison Holcomb is OU's leader in assists per set (4.76), Carson Schuman is the team's leader in digs per set (4.21), Campbell Stark is the Braves' leader in blocks per set (1.11). 

Saturday is the 97th match between Ottawa University and Bethel College. The Threshers lead the series 60-36 and Bethel has won three straight against the Braves. The last time Ottawa defeated Bethel was in North Newton on Oct. 11, 2022, 3-0. The first match ever between the two teams happened on Nov. 6, 1976. Bethel won the match 2-0 (15-12, 15-10).  

Bethel College is 20-9 overall and has a record of 10-2 in the KCAC. The Threshers have won five straight matches and have a record of 9-2 in Threshers Gymnasium. 

Through 29 matches this season, Bethel is averaging 12.81 kills per set, 11.84 assists per set, 1.96 blocks per set, 1.92 service aces per set, and 15.54 digs per set. The Threshers have a .217 attacking percentage. 

Cameron Offerle is Bethel's leader in kills per set (4.87), Dalaina Schutte leads BC in assists per set (8.04), Abby Koontz is the team's leader in digs per set (4.60), Darla Crow is BC's leader in blocks per set (1.14). 

The Threshers are ranked 23rd in the NAIA in kills (1,383), 39th in kills per set (12.81), 29th in attacking percentage (.217), 27th in assists (1,279), 40th in assists per set (11.84), 42nd in service aces (207), 45th in block assists (305), 41st in total blocks (212), fourth in blocking errors (81), 26th in ball handling errors (12), 22nd in points (1801.5), and 39th in points per set (16.7).
