Men's Basketball Road Trips to Bethany on Saturday

Ottawa University has an overall record of 6-3 and a KCAC mark of 3-1. The Braves snapped their three game losing streak with a 73-71 victory over Southwestern College on Wednesday night in Wilson Field House. Ottawa erased a nine point deficit in the second half to rally past the Moundbuilders. 

The Braves are 4-0 on the road this season, averaging 86.3 points per game. OU is shooting 47.9 percent from the floor, 39 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 72.6 percent from the free throw line away from Wilson Field House this season. 

Ottawa has four players averaging in double figures on the road this season: Micah Willis (17), Rich Martelly (16.8), Landyn Tyler (14.0), Elijah Mason (10.5). 

Micah Willis is scoring 17 points on the road this season and shooting 56.8 percent from the floor, 54.2 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 71.4 percent from the free throw line. 

Through nine games this season, Ottawa is averaging 82.6 points, 36.6 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game. OU is shooting 46.8 percent from the floor, 40.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 75.1 percent from the free throw line.

The Swedes last four games were losses to Sterling (80-78) on Nov. 19, at Bethel (95-78) on Nov. 22, at Pittsburg State in an exhibition contest (101-58) on Nov. 30, and York University (82-64) on Dec. 3. 

Keddric Mays II leads the Swedes in scoring (19.3), rebounding (6.6), assists (3.6), and steals (2.9) per game. JJ Warfield is BC's leader in blocks (1.6) per game. 

Bethany is ranked 22nd in field goals attempted per game (67.6), 39th in 3-pt field goals made per game (9.2), 36th in 3-pt field goals attempted per game (26.5), 46th in field goal total-attempts (298-676), and 36th in 3-pt field goal total-attempts (92-265). 

At home this season, the Swedes are scoring 79.3 points per game and shooting 41.7 percent from the floor, 26.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, 64.8 percent from the free throw line.
