The Ottawa University men's volleyball split its road trip last weekend. The Braves defeated Clarke University 3-0 but fell to (10) Mount Mercy University 3-1. Ottawa finished the weekend with 88 kills, a .228 attacking percentage, 84 assists, six service aces, 88 digs, and 17 team blocks.

Ottawa is averaging 12.6 kills per set, 11.9 assists per set, 2.3 blocks per set, 1.00 service ace per set, and 10.9 digs per set. OU has a .274 attacking percentage.

Nazmi Bayoglu continues to add his name to the OU men's volleyball record book. His 22 digs in OU's match at Mount Mercy University last Saturday ties him for second in digs in a four set match and fifth in digs in a match.
Tuesday is the 17th match between Ottawa University and Missouri Valley College. MVC leads the series, 10-6, and is on a four match winning streak over the Braves. The two teams met twice last year with the Vikings winning both matches. MVC won on Feb. 6 in Wilson Field House, 3-0. The Vikings took a 3-1 victory over OU on March 26 in Marshall, Mo. Ottawa's last win against Missouri Valley was on Jan. 21, 2021. Ottawa defeated the Vikings 3-1. The Braves last victory in Ottawa over Missouri Valley was on Jan. 14, 2020 in Wilson Field House. OU won th match 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 14-25, 19-17). The first ever match between the two teams was held on Feb. 27, 2016. The Vikings won the contest 3-1.
Missouri Valley College is 4-2 overall, has a Heart record of 0-2, is ranked no. 12 in the NAIA, and is 1-2 on the road this season. After starting the season 4-0, the Vikings have lost two straight to Heart leaders Missouri Baptist University (3-2) and Park University (3-1).
This season, the Vikings are averaging 11.9 kills per set, 10.7 assists per set, 2.2 blocks per set, 1.4 service aces per set, and 9.6 digs per set. They have a .247 attacking percentage.
