OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team won its second straight match with a 3-0; 25-8, 25-15, 25-14; victory over Simpson College on Tuesday night in the Mabee Center.
How it Happened
- Ottawa scored the first five points of set one. Three straight attacking errors by the Storm gave the Braves a 13-3 lead. Back-to-back kills by Leo Betin increased the OU lead to 19-6. Ottawa held SC to two points for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-8 victory.
- Blocks by Marko Zolnjan/Kadeem Morris and Petar Lazic/Morris gave the Braves a 7-4 lead over Simpson in set two. OU increased its lead to 19-12 on a block by Morris and Zolnjan. The Storm never threatened the Brave lead and OU took the 25-15 victory.
- A kill by Macort Pickup gave the Braves an 8-2 lead over Simpson in set three. Betin's kill increased the Brave lead to 16-7. Ottawa held the Storm in check for the remainder of the set, taking the 25-14 victory.
