Women's Flag Football Road Trips to Baker on Tuesday

The Braves have an overall record of 9-0, a KCAC mark of 6-0, has won nine straight games this season and enter Tuesday's game coming off a 43-0 victory over Graceland University last Saturday.

In the win over Graceland last Saturday, Ottawa had 232 yards of offense while holding Graceland to 36 yards. The Braves had one yard rushing and 231 yards passing. The Yellowjackets had negative 11 yards rushing and 47 yards passing.

Against Graceland, Madysen Carrera was 19-for-25 through the air for 202 yards and five touchdowns. Jazlyn Camacho had eight receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown. Alyssa Linkous and Tatiana Dos Santos finished the game with two touchdown receptions apiece. Susann Kaufmann had four sacks in the win. Dejonice Parris led OU with 6.5 flag pulls and one flag pull for loss. Bethany Uribe, Jukanie Washington, and Cynthia Homs each had an interception.

This season the Braves are averaging 291.8 yards of offense per game, 13.3 yards rushing and 278.4 yards passing. OU is scoring 40.7 points per game. The OU defense is allowing 123.8 yards of offense per game, 6.4 yards rushing, and 117.4 yards through the air. Opponents are scoring 2.0 points per game against the Braves.

Ottawa has only allowed a total of 18 points this season and have five straight shutouts, eight total shutouts this season.

Madysen Carrera leads the Braves in passing. She is 162-205 through the air for 1,965 yards and 39 touchdowns. Carrera is completing 79 percent of her passes and has only thrown one interception this season. She is averaging 218.3 passing yards per game. Alyssa Linkous leads OU in receptions (42) and receiving yards (658). She is averaging 73.1 receiving yards per game and has 14 touchdown receptions. Cynthia Homs is OU's leader in flag pulls with 35. She has three interceptions and five pass break ups. Dejonice Parris is right behind her with 34 flag pulls. She has two flag pulls for loss, one sack, one interception, and two pass breakups. Susann Kaufmann leads OU in sacks with nine and Taliyah McInnis is OU's leader in pass break ups with 14.

Ottawa is 4-0 on the road this season and is outscoring opponents 49-0. The Braves are averaging 273.5 yards of offense per game while holding opponents to 72.3.

Tuesday will be the fourth time that Ottawa University and Baker University have played each other. Ottawa leads the series 3-0, winning the first game this season on Feb. 23 at AdventHealth Field, 34-0. The Braves are 1-0 against the Wildcats at Liston Stadium. The first time the two teams played against each other in Baldwin City was on Feb. 20, 2024. Ottawa won the game 53-6.

Baker University is 4-3 overall, 3-0 in the KCAC, is on a three game winning streak, and has a mark of 1-2 at home this season. The Wildcats enter Tuesday's game coming off a 20-19 victory over Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina on March 12.

This season, Baker is averaging 251 yards of offense per game and scoring 19.7 points per game. The Wildcats are averaging 77.9 yards rushing per game and 173.2 yards passing per game. Opponents are scoring 18.7 points per game while averaging 253 yards of offense, 15 yards rushing and 238.7 yards passing.

Tara Llorente leads Baker in passing. She is 88-for-156 through the air for 786 yards and nine touchdowns. Llorente has thrown seven interceptions and is completing 56.4 percent of her passes. She is averaging 131 yards passing per game. Kaley Phillips leads the team in receptions with 19 and receiving yards with 244. She has four receiving touchdowns and is averaging 40.7 receiving yards per game. Mahagonay Simons leads the team in flag pulls with 24. She has one interception and two pass break ups. Gabriella Zabaletta is second on the team in flag pulls with 20. Kaley Phillips leads Baker in interceptions with five.
