Women's Flag Football Hosts Midland on Sunday

The Braves have an overall record of 11-0, a 8-0 mark in the KCAC, has won 11 straight games this season, and is on a 20 game winning streak dating back to the 2024 season. OU's last loss was against Kansas Wesleyan University on March 28 in Salina. The Coyotes won the game 18-13.

Ottawa enters Sunday's game coming off a 34-0 victory over Southwestern College in Winfield on Wednesday night.

Through 11 games this season the Braves are averaging 284.1 yards of offense per game, 15.5 yards rushing and 268.6 yards passing. OU is scoring 38.5 points per game. Opponents are averaging 128.6 yards of offense per game, 10.5 yards rushing and 118.2 yards passing. They are scoring 2.7 points per game.

The OU defense has nine shutouts this season, the most in program history. The Braves have only allowed a total of 30 points this season in 11 games.

Cynthia Homs leads OU in flag pulls with 43. She leads OU with five interceptions and has six pass break ups. Dejonice Parris is right behind her with 43 flag pulls. She has three flag pulls for loss, two sacks, one interception, and three pass break ups. Taliyah McInnis leads the Braves in pass break ups with 15. Susann Kaufmann is Ottawa's leader in sacks with 10. She has 13 flag pulls for loss and six pass break ups.

Sunday is the 14th game between Ottawa University and Midland University. The Braves lead the series 13-0 and won the first game this season 34-0 on Feb. 23 at AdventHealth Field in a non-conference contest. OU is 6-0 at home against Midland. The very first game between the two teams happened on March 26, 2021 at AdventHealth Field. OU won the game 39-0.

Midland University has an overall record of 5-5 and a KCAC mark of 2-3. The Warriors enter Sunday's game coming off a 33-12 victory at Graceland University on March 26. Midland has a record of 2-3 on the road this season.

This season the Warriors are averaging 224.3 yards of offense per game, 19.8 yards rushing and 204.5 yards passing. They are scoring 22 points per game. Opponents are averaging 214.5 yards of offense per game, 43 yards rushing and 171.5 yards passing. They are scoring 17.8 points per game.
