OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University women's flag football player, Susann Kaufmann, has been named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.

Kaufmann, a linebacker from Staten Island, N.Y., nine flag pulls, one sack, one interception and one pass breakup in two victories last week. She recorded a 51 yard interception return for a touchdown in OU's victory over Midland. Kaufmann batted the ball out of the air and picked it off before it hit the ground. She returned it for a touchdown to give OU the 12-0 lead.

The Braves (12-0, 8-0) return to the field on Saturday, April 5 against Baker University at AdventHealth Field. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
